(Clint Jenkins on behalf of Palms Casino Resort) Sin City is now home to the world’s most expensive hotel room. Unveiled on March 1, the new Empathy Suite at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas is now home to one of the world’s most expensive hotel suites.
The Empathy Suite was recently unveiled at The Palms Casino Resort.
The 9,000-square-foot opulent sky villa was designed by world-renowned artist Damien Hirst.
Designed in collaboration with award-winning firm Bentel & Bentel, Hirst’s personal touch appears in nearly every aspect of the villa: from specially designed furniture and textiles that incorporate Hirst’s signature spin designs, butterfly and pharmacy motifs, to large scale works of art, including a large pill cabinet filled with diamonds.
Six original works include Winner/Loser, featuring two bull sharks suspended in formaldehyde in a white tank set into the suite’s wall; 'Casino Royale,” which is a 10-panel collection of Hirst’s butterfly motifs on monochrome gloss-painted canvases; a medicine cabinet called 'Vegas' hangs from a prominent wall; 'The Winner Takes It All' is a translucent cabinet filled with symmetrically lined cubic zirconias; “Money' is a translucent cabinet filled with symmetrically lined pills; and 'Here for a Good Time Not a Long Time,' hanging directly above the center bar, showcases two vitrines, one containing a marlin skeleton, the other a taxidermied marlin.
The villa also features a 13-seat curved bar; two lounging areas that will accommodate up to 52 guests; a large dining area; two master bedrooms with California-king beds, spacious closets and spacious bathrooms; a private healing salt room, two massage rooms and a fitness room; and an outdoor terrace featuring a cantilevered Jacuzzi.
The Empathy Suite is one the world’s most expensive hotel accommodations at $200,000 for a two-night stay or reserved exclusively for million-dollar casino players.
Overnight accommodations in this extraordinary suite also involve a highly personalized and exclusive guest experience while at the property, including 24-hour butler service, over-the-top welcome amenities, a private behind-the-scenes art tour of the suite and entire property, chauffeured car service throughout the stay and A-list access to Palms’ premier amenities such as KAOS Dayclub & Nightclub, the Pearl Concert Theater and the Palms’ world-class recording studio and a $10,000 credit to utilize at the resort.
